Cottage Style Front Garden

The garden was on a slope and had been terraced by the client’s builder leaving a large area which needed a garden to suit the 200 year old cottage. A path was created winding through the garden, leading to a focal point tree at the end of the path. Small Setts were used which worked well with cottage style and provided for the use of curves. There was an existing Golden Privett hedge on the boundary which dictated the colour scheme, so yellow planting contrasted with blue was used. The cottage style planting included Alchemilla mollis, Stachys, Iris, Hosta and Lavender
